A New Year, A New Start.

Well, just like all the other years, 2011 went past in a breeze. 2011 was a year filled with ups and downs like a rollercoaster ride. I remember when I was still working in Starhub Ltd after A Levels - those crazy working hours facing a bunch of unreasonable people while getting decent pay. And then I went overseas, to Bangkok with my dear BFFs. That was truly a mad shopperholic's trip with three of us lugging luggages full of clothes and only clothes! Somewhere during June, I went on to Osaka, Japan with my relatives. Those days I miss. I can never forget how carefree it was to be there only to shop and savour delicious Japanese cuisine every single day in ten days. There was fresh sashimi, ramen, Japanese curry, omu-rice, cream puffs, ice-cream etc. Seriously, anything you buy there is simply awesome. Shortly after all that fun, school started with Hall FOC - the dirty games, beach games, SP night etc.. And then there was Hall Pageant and I got to know some people not from my orientation camp group. Pageant days were rather interesting with the trainings such as catwalk, dance and talentime item with my partner. Even though these days weren't really happy due to major quarrels, I'm glad that we managed to push on and remain as strong as we are now as a couple. Somewhere in October, I also had my 5th Anniversary with my Baby Dearie. Although my schedules were so packed, I'm rather glad that my boyf understood and what made me felt even more heartwarming was the 5th year present, a 1000-piece puzzle he made for me. Dearie, I love you and I promise I will love you even more in 2012.

Hmm, moving on, there were exams and even though results were overly disappointing without a clue as to why it was so, I guess in this new year, new semester, I've got to work doubly hard to achieve my goals. Oh, then there was IHG before the term is starting. It was nice to see my fellow hall mates come forth and join trngs even though they know nothing about Netball. I am proud of every single one who came and I'm really thankful for the guidance from my seniors as well. My term as a Netball Manager couldn't have been better without you awesome girls! Somewhere in between IHG, I started moving house as well, upgrading from a four-room to a bigger house but sadly, has the same number of rooms as my previous flat. A new house for a new year I guess?

As I am typing these down, the time I have left to enjoy the holidays continues to decrease. Very soon, I will have to return to those boring old days of attending lectures and tutorials and finally taking the exams. Hopefully, with me putting in additional hardwork, 2012 will give me better grades. And dear 2012, I sincerely wish for better grades as I put in more effort and time in studying and sleep earlier; a smoother relationship as I love my boyf more and pay more attention to his feelings; a better relationship with my family members as I spend more time with them to my ability and of course, better relations with friends as I try to be more sensitive and caring towards them.

Life has been really exciting.

School has never been boring thus far.
I look forward to coming back to hall every single weekend. It's the family warmth I get when I'm around all my hall friends, be it my roomie, pageant people, OG mates... It's the kind of love I had been craving for since I was a kid. Life has never been so great before. Even though sometimes I miss my family (Of course I do!), I do love the experience in hall. Recently, there sure are lots of deadlines to meet but being in hall, I could accomplish much more than when I'm at home and there'll be supper gatherings every now and then. Supper is fattening but you just don't care when you're in a family of nice and funny people munching away, having heart-to-heart-talks. The feeling is definitely indescribable.

The seventh week of school is approaching and I am still lagging behind in studying for my tests for all my subjects. I should really start to mug really hard to catch up with my studies, especially since pageant sucked up all my free/study time previously. Hall 12's Dinner & Dance is finally over! Crowned as Hall Princess and I am really happy! My first ever sash from a beauty pageant competition and probably my last too. The experience is indeed valuable and I have made so many awesome friends from it. Definitely one of my greatest experiences in hall.

Recess week is nearing and time is running out. I should get going on my project researches and assignments real soon to meet those nasty deadlines.

Hall Bash, more trainings and DnD is coming.

Even though pageant trainings are tiring because they're always scheduled late at night, I really enjoyed myself in every single training. I feel that it's not about winning the title of being Hall King or Hall Queen. It's all about the people. Bonding with the people in pageant by having buffet dinners, chatting in a Whatsapp group, playing iPhone games together etc was really awesome. If given a choice, I would definitely accept this pageant offer even though it's burning my nights away! Having fun with these people is something I wouldn't want to miss.

Yea, that's the word to describe my life now. So many things had been going on this week. Tonight, I had my second pageant training. Catwalk! Seriously, I didn't know catwalk was so difficult! There are so many steps to follow and I feel so awkward being ever-confident in front of people I don't really know well. Well, there are gonna be more trainings to come and by the time I hope I won't be like my awkward clumsy self now!:/

I got my new laptop already! My new HP baby(: It's so awesome, so much more awesome than my previous lousy old antique. Didn't get Mac cause I feel I don't need to. I am contented with my HP:D

Sigh, had a long string of thoughts in my mind and now the fatigue is washing them all out. I shall tuck myself into bed now...

The experience.

Hall life is exciting^^
My second night sleeping on my bed in hall. It's a good experience for those who want some colours to spice up their uni life. Honestly, choosing to stay in hall is something I probably won't regret because of all the fun I am having. Just came back from Hall camp too! It was a blast. Hydra (the OG that I am in) won the best OG! I didn't expect that we would win but yea, we did!(: I hope this Hydra spirit would continue in the future and will not slowly die down.

Hall aside, I miss my boyf. I really miss him a lot even though I still get to see him on weekends. It's like because of hall camp and stuff I don't get to interact with him much. I wanna see the sunrise/sunset with him... I wanna go on a cable car with him like all other couples would do with their partners.. There are so many things I wanna do with him yet we are so far apart from each other. I miss him now.. My baby, I love you.

Back to school.

New school, new environment.
Nine months of holidays just went past like that. It's going to be the start of something new again. In a totally new environment with a new batch of friends. I hope I can get used to it. Bought my new specs, pencil case, diary and other stationery already and all I'm left with is to move into my new hostel with Yun. I'm really hyped up and excited about it! Hall camp is coming up soon too I can't wait for it(:

Harry Potter. I remember we used to catch every movie the moment they came out. I didn't finish reading the novels (maybe I should) but I think every movie is awesome. Funny how I used to think Harry Potter and Cedric Diggory were dashing. Hmm, kinda miss the film already. Harry Potter wouldn't be part of my future kids' childhood anymore like how it used to be mine, how sad. Now I feel like watching the marathon! I wanna catch all the movies in sequence to see the how the whole story flows. I always forget what the previous movie screened when I'm watching the current release>.<

Anw, I gotta continue studying for my circuit stuff. Have to climb out of my bed in the wee hours just to go to my circuit lesson:/ I hope that white car cooperates with me tmr.

Osaka Japan is safe from radiation.

People, now is a great opportunity to go to Osaka if you're thinking of going there because the air fares are so low! It's safe! And yes I'm back from my Osaka getaway!(: It was a hell lot of walking as we combed streets after streets of shops. Even though we have to face the scorching sun and the high temperature of about 33 deg. celsius every day, we managed to still enjoy our shopping. I mega love the food there! There was tempura, sashimi, ramen, udon, soba and many more. My favourite has got to be Gyu Don. Ate that for 3 out of 11 days in Japan and in fact I'm kinda scared of the beefy smell already. No more sashimi for me too because we ordered loads during one of the dinners and all the fish pieces came in like 2 cm thick slices which we had difficulty finishing.

Hmm, things in Japan are basically expensive as compared to Singapore because of their high standards of living. Walking down the busy streets of Namba and Shinsaibashi, you can see girls made-up with dark fluttery eyelashes, thick black eyeliners, pink luscious lipsticks and coloured contact lenses holding their paper bags from their Japan labels and some other international brands. Even students are that wealthy to afford such things. Clothes and shoes range from S$15-S$80~ in those streets and if you're lucky, you get cheap stuff from their sale racks. My most expensive buy was a vintage blue messenger 3-way bag which cost me $61 from a pretty store called Natural Couture (: Super love it and happy with it ^^ Now my wardrobe is exploding from my buys in Bangkok and Osaka and I should really stop shopping :/

Oh and the highlight of the trip is of course Universal Studios Japan. Gosh, the music, the atmosphere, they really make you feel like you've stepped into a magical land full of joy and happiness. The joy overflows in your heart and you just wish that you could stay there forever. At that point of time, I really wish my boyf was there with me. How romantic it would be, just like when we were in USS. Okay so anyway, Mummy and her sister with my cousins and I ran for almost all the rides to avoid the crowd. It wasn't Japan's school vacation so we were very lucky to see the short queues in all of the ride attractions. The USJ I visited 4 years ago and now is indeed different. I got to see more of the park and it was their 10th Anniversary this time round. There were beautiful banners that stated "10th Anniversary" and they even made merchandise just for this anniversary. Very beautiful and the feeling is overwhelming (: I shan't eleborate further else this post is going to be really really long and draggy.

A rocky week.

Down with fever, flu, cough and I got into an accident today.
Just came back from the land of smiles not long ago and I was down with serious sorethroat, fever, flu etc... Slept all the way for about two days before visiting the doctor and got my medicine.

So anw, today as I was driving along BBDC, waiting to turn into the Esso petrol kiosk, I was allowing an on-coming vehicle to pass. Before I knew it, a Woodlands Transport bus came crashing onto the butt of my vehicle, causing the whole car to skid forward. Thank goodness no one was injured. Well, the car boot was really damaged and I had to pay for the next learner's circuit fees. Sigh, I am so unlucky... :(

I just wish unlucky things can stop happening to me. Hope that all will go well for tmr's photoshoot...

The Hunt.

We are so hyped up.
Yes, today Eunice, Xinyun and I went for a namecard hunt. That's right, we were looking for suppliers who are willing to convert our desired designs into pretty matt namecards with glossy wording on it. Managed to find a few printing companies with good deals thank goodness. Discussed loads of details of the upcoming project over lunch at Mad Jack and we came up with great ideas! Sinful Yun and I bought some thickers and ribbons at MWL too. Double stamp Tuesdays for the Scrapaholic Anonymous! We then walked over to Art Friend @ Bras Basah to look for die-cutters but they don't have it in our desired shape and size oh well...
:( Shall continue looking for it!

Meanwhile, it's approximately 10 more days to the end of my job. And then it's gonna be a stayover at my BFF's again! ^^

Movie Marathon.

Fast & Furious 5, X-Men: First Class, Kung Fu Panda II, The Hangover II etc...
Been watching loads of movies lately cause there're many awesome films that were released into the theatres! My favourite has got to be X-Men because I finally knew how the mutants met and became united as one. I didn't know that Professor X and Magneto were actually best friends:/ Okay maybe that's because I didn't watch or read the Marvel Comics. So anyway, the film was really cool with the sounds and the effects (the mutants' special abilities). I couldn't get enough of it when the credits rolled! Hmm, so it's 4 down, 1 more to go which is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II.

Approximately 12 days to the end of my employment. Having mixed feelings about it... This means no more cash for shopping but it also signals the coming of my two vacation to Bangkok (again) and Japan! :D Can't wait!

Oh yes, I didn't and instead, went for my 4-hour driving lesson in the thunderstorm. Gosh it was raining like mad and it was a mistake to leave the house. Got my favourite Everlast pumps drenched and guess what, it stopped raining shortly after I bought my double cheese burger. What a bother. The purpose of the rain was kinda to force me to wash my shoes.

And so anyway, drove around my neighbourhood for 4 whole hours:/ Feeling rather lethargic now. Changing gears was definitely not easy! It's so hard to turn and change gears at the same time. But oh wells, it was fun nonetheless:D

Hooray, we are F-I-N-A-L-L-Y going to Bangkok in June! Yes, BKK again, I know right. But oh well, we have loads of missions there and there's going to be a whole long list of "Things to Buy". Exciteddddd muchhh. This means that I am quitting this lousy company for good. No more complaints, no more listening to insults and no more being all-so-nice when some people just don't even deserve it.

Anw, the HR manager of some company came to us regarding her line. She wanted to hire us for $2500 a month and we can just commit to a month or so, or however long we can. It's just the thing I need after I'm back from my holiday (;

Off Day!~

A good night's sleep.
When everyone wakes up early in the morning to prepare to go to work after a long, relaxing weekend, I'm in bed thinking to myself, "What am I going to do on my off today?" Yeah, that was the first question that came to my mind. I didn't know to do; wasn't keen on hitting the streets either. I just felt like spending time alone at home and I ended up making the header and buttons for the new blogstore(: Feels pretty accomplished. Went to aunt's house too for dinner and I managed to borrow three novels with beautiful covers and How I Met Your Mother Seasons 3&4!(:

The week before was a breeze. Got my acceptance letter from the school of my choice (though ain't the exact course I want), cooked with my boy's mum etc.. Anw, I don't know what's gotten into me lately but I feel myself getting more patient with customers coming in and out of the centre every day. I should keep this optimism in me and hopefully it'll last till the last day of my employment.

Right now, I miss my boy loads. I just wish that we have more time together. I love you my baby boy.

Indeed a Passing Out Parade.

Three poor recruits passed out during the parade on the field that day. I guess it was the heat and the 24km distance they marched from Tekong to the Marina floating platform! Poor guys. The parade was really funny in a way. The songs they sang were pretty cool cause the lyrics were actually like customised for army. Oh and then we had to squeeze through the immense crowd to search for the Whiskey company and the best thing? Every single one of them was like basking in their own sweet sweat stench. Imagine moving through a mob of people in smelly wet green digitized uniform:/ The experience was awful:/

Okay so anyway, we all went back to my dearie's house and we had deeeeelicious Kimchi Pancakes, Ddukbokgi (떡볶이), a bowl of alphabets macaroni with shredded chicken all cooked by my dearie's mummy(: I was totally a pig that day eating and eating, one dish after another. After lunch, dearie and I made pizza from scratch and it was super fun! I didn't know pizza-making can be so easy! Nothing beats handmade, the pizzas we made (three of them), tasted heavenly:D Too bad I didn't manage to capture the odd-shaped ones by dearie:P Haha dearie we'll find a time to make them again okay this time it's for my family! And then at dinner, dearie's mum cooked 椰盅炖鸡饭 which was like glutinous rice, chicken and mushroom in a coconut. I have never tried something like that before and I swear it was really good. So that was for dinner and we all had waffle ice-cream (Ben&Jerry's + Häagen-Dazs) by dearie's aunt. A great spread we had that day:D

Anticipation April!

So many things that I'm excited about this April.

It's been dinosaur ages since I last wrote in here. There are so many things happening in my life right now, mostly awesome ones:D Enjoying work nowadays for no apparent reason and I don't really feel tired after work. Customers come and go and yea, every day is just a breeze(: Anw, it's only 5th April and I'm on a tight budget alr. I've been buying stuff uncontrollably and reaching my $150 limit on shopping on the 1st itself:/ I bet my boyf would freak out how I actually manage to spend so much each month on just clothes alone>.<

Anyway, How I Met Your Mother is a really nice US series! The story line's literally the title and yea, after Season Six, the kids are still listening to their dad telling the story of how he met his wife. LOL to that but glad that it's pretty worth to watch to while time away.

Alright and back to the blog title, there's gonna be a new blogstore by BFFs this coming July! It's so gonna be awesome cause we're liasing everywhere and going to Bangkok to get stuff too! I can't wait! And and my boyf's having POP on Saturday and he's going to plan all the days we're going out during his block leave:D I'll be basking in bliss a week from now and I am so glad I have this boyf(: Love him to bits!

I received a call from my beloved BFF two nights before telling me that there were a lot of cheap instax films and albums online! Excited me quickly sprang up from my bed and started looking for even cheaper deals:P I didn't know coloured films existed! Looks like there are pretty much stuff to buy for my new baby♥ I just spent $77.50 on 4 boxes of films and 2 albums while at work yesterday. Lucky me, my boyf decided to sponser;) I'm going to meet the person at Cityhall MRT today to collect the stuff!:D Happy muchhhh! And today's going to be a good day cause I'll be getting free Engwah tickets from cousin later on; eating my grandma's homecooked lunch; getting my buys and meeting my NJClique for dinner(:

A more than just an AWESOME day(:

I had a blast.

Way more than a blast I must say. My boyfriend and besties were AWESOMEEE!(: I woke up in the morning having twenty over text messages (in which twelve came from my beloved boyf) wishing me Hapy Birthday! Honestly, I wanted to sleep a little more cause it's hard for me to sleep so much especially since my shifts are not fixed. I ended up replying all the texts that I couldn't get to bed anymore! Then, when I was going to brush my teeth, a knock came on my front door. Rushed to open and saw YAP XINYUN standing outside! She came in and gave me the first clue and early in the morning at 10am, I had to play the world's hardest, highest IQ treasure hunt cause her clues were seriously, difficult and pretty tough to comprehend. Yea and I had to go to the letterbox, come up into my house, go to the door, then the window and the store-room, my mummy's room and my own to get all the presents that the clique bought me!:D It was damn funny cause I really didn't get her clues at all!

After the hunt we (Chao and I), accompanied Yun to the doctor's to get her MC cause she wasn't feeling well due to flu and cough. Watched Gnomeo and Juliet with them at The Cathay! Gosh that movie is a MUST WATCH! The film was really sweet and hilarious(: I really enjoyed the movie! Hmm, met up with the rest at Manhattan Fish Market for dinner after that before they presented me with a mini ice-cream brownie with a candle(: Left for home to celebrate with my family<3

I miss you loads.

I've been feeling so tired lately due to work. The pay is excellent but I am totally losing patience with the customers that come in every day. They don't freaking treat you with respect at all. Some people just take everything for granted. Sigh, about seven more hours till the end of work and I am so looking forward to it. I just detest having to work full shifts. You work all day and only get to enjoy a meagre hour of break, how great is that.

On the other hand, my GP teacher has already submitted an appraisal for my NTU Application which allows me to complete the whole procedure! All that's left to do is for my other teacher to submit before the deadline and an acceptance letter from the school. I really hope I can get into the school. I want the Alumni Scholarship.

Reality Check.

It's a week to my first driving test, the BTT as well as getting the long awaited A level results. I didn't even think about the results these few months of break from school. It seems like it's something that will never come and yet it's crawling in day by day. I'm thinking about it like almost every other day. What if I don't get my desired grades? What if I can't get into the course I want? What if...? There are so many 'what ifs' lingering in my brain... I just hope that 2011 will create more smiles on my face rather than giving me heartbreaks. And, to add into my to-do list, I need to rest more to stop falling sick! Been visiting polyclinics and private clinics every month because of flu and other common cold.. Wish I could be glowing in a pink of health for a longer period of time. My boyf is enlisting in two days' time.

I should totally cease shopping.
In five days, I've spent $250. An enormous amount in such a short period of time, I know. I've been going on shopping sprees with my beloved boyf and paying off by VISA, bringing home at least an item every time! This is madness but the feeling's good:/ I wasn't born in a well-to-do family and I never had the chance to actually spend money like that. Now that I've experienced it, I am actually feeling guilty and scared about it. My boyf's been warning and persuading me not to keep buying and for the first time I am really going to heed his words about my shopping urge!>.< I should lock up my debit card.

Haha, anw, watched The Tourist today! A clever plot but the storyline was somewhat lame:/ I thought the duration of the movie was too short. Hmm then I had a sumptuous dinner at Boon Lay market with my boyf(: It's been four years already but I'm so glad that our passion for each other is still growing. I just love being with him!(:

Up and out with old friends.

My virgin experience in a bar with a group of friends was great! Played monopoly deal and enjoyed dinner at Timbre @ The Arts House!(: If only Huijuan was around! Food there was surprisingly different and good thanks to the yummy roasted duck pizza:D I wanted to upload a photo of my Apple Martini but apparently there's only like 1.36MB of space left in my C:/ drive that didn't allow me to rotate the photo and save a copy. I should seriously like get a new macbook soon. My current laptop is driving me up the wall and down again. Hmm, had a mini catch-up session with old friends today and I realised that everyone is working now with busy schedules, especially if you're under a telecommunications company. And yes, to those who are under F&M Pte Ltd (Father & Mother Private Limited), good for you on your unlimited pay, haha!:D

Oh and I dyed my hair today - Ashen Brown. Well, it's basically the same colour as my boyf's hair and I kinda like it(: Boyf says it makes me look gentle:D Okay, it's getting late now thanks to my beloved laptop. Totally delayed my sleeping time and there's work tmr. Good night.

Thank goodness for all the courage I plucked up to ask the manager for a pay rise. If not, I would still be stuck in this job for only a meagre $7 per hour. With an extra two bucks per hour, I am most definitely compelled to work for the rest of the five months!(: Even though it's no easy job and the hours are really long, the money is going to make it all worthwhile cause I get to go on shopping sprees more often and it's like a whole lot closer to getting my first MacBook. Treated my beloved boyf to a sushi buffet as well as cookies for my colleagues and now my family expects a great meal too! I am gonna be broke real soon!

Hmm, anw shall pamper myself first. I'm dyeing my hair tmr and going for full manicure and pedicure accompanied by boyf. Looking forward to the breakfast he's gonna make me(:

A new year, a new start.

2010 went past in a whizz. It began from slogging our lives for A Levels' to now working so hard to earn some pocket money. Honestly, 2010 wasn't a good year mainly because of the interminable studying, but it actually taught me two things. It taught me to stay focus and most importantly, to cherish what I have before it's too late. I never thought that losing Boyboy could be so painful for me and I wasn't even prepared for such a day to arrive. Till date, I still wish that I can go home and be greeted by an adorable and loving dog.

Hmm, on the other hand, work had been really hectic with customers flooding Starhub every single day. The iPhone 4 craze is still on and every morning, there's a mob of people camping outside the store just to queue for the Apple phone. Don't these people have lives?! Frankly speaking, even though I am an iPhone 4 user, queuing for a few hours for it is crazy. Not to mention that some people just can't read signboards. What part of "iPhone 4 is currently out of stock" do they not understand that they have to join the customer service queue just to ask for it? Oh well, apart from all these madness, my colleagues have made working at Vivo CSC enjoyable with their jokes and teasing(: If not for the attractive pay and the amicable colleagues, given the long working hours and the insult you get from customers, I would never join the customer service team.

Today was my off day. I spent the day with my lovely boyfriend at home watching The Contender and Just For Laughs and before that, I fell asleep in his arms while he was talking to me about the Star Wars cartoon:/ Lunch was at Jurong Point and we shopped for a while(: This feeling of simplicity with my boyfriend is really great and I haven't felt it for what seemed like ages because of my work. I just love my wonderful boyfriend!<3 We planned on a shopping spree on Friday and I'm so looking forward to it!(:

You passed away after groaning for the whole day. It was perhaps a relief for you from all the pain and suffering and I hope you're going to a place that is better for you. You were not just a dog, but a companion. You were like family to all of us. You never fail to make us laugh; never fail to make our day with all the begging for food. I enjoyed teaching you how to extend your paw to beg for food and I was so glad I succeeded cause it always made our day and of course, you get to enjoy some treats in return too. Even though sometimes you were rather hostile towards strangers at the door, you were so protective of our family. I miss massaging your neck and looking at you turn your head to an angle which makes you comfortable. I miss just touching your soft fur and giving you pats on your adorable little head... I miss you my dear Boyboy... You will be remembered forever and you will live in all our hearts.

It's 24th December again, how time flies! I don't actually possess the festive mood and I don't even have a Christmas list this year, but I am glad that I can spend Christmas with my dearie all alone this year. No gift exchanges, potluck dinner and stayover at Yun's house. It's just going to be me and my dearie, the both of us(: There's work later and I am still trying to finish off this post after painting my nails a shade of shimmery jade green. Work last night was rather fun with the twins and they really spice up the lifeless and tensed up work place by confusing customers with their identical looks!:D It gave us all a great laugh which released the pressure some unreasonable customers gave.

Anw, baked cookies with dearie on Wednesday at my place and this is what we've got:

Gone Dating!

Changed my background to a reindeer one to fit the season. Though it's a bit out of place, I guess it'll do for the next one month or so!:D Anw,Tron Legacy was not as fantastic as I thought it would be! Nevertheless, the graphics were pretty much cool cause of all the lights and stuff. There's work tmr and even though it's kinda fun with the funky colleagues around, I think I seriously need sleep cause standing twelve hours every day can be really tiring! I'm gonna have a break next Wednesday and during Christmas, hope I can engage in some baking of Christmas cookies for my wonderful friends! I've been tumblr-ing a lot on these royal icing sweets since a few months ago and have not yet tried. Hope I succeed.

These five days were indeed enjoyable! No troubles, endless shopping and sightseeing are the three best things when you're overseas! It was mainly a shopping trip for clothes, bags and accessories so I didn't really buy any souvenirs back for everyone, only my dearie and BFFs, pardon me! Anw, encountered really funny people there like a Tuk-tuk driver who was so excited to bring us to a textile store so that he could earn gasoline coupons for his vehicle. He kept laughing to himself and repeatedly shout out "Five coupons!". It was as if he had stuck the lottery!:D Also, there were five store owners in a wholesale market who thought that I looked like a superstar and kept snapping pictures of me with their mobile phone cameras. Hilarious!xD

Caught the movie, Rapunzel, A Tangled Tale, at last!(: My, I would personally rate five stars for this! Even though I only watched it in 2D, it was nevertheless beautiful, the graphics and music. The story, as always, ended with a "Happily Ever After" after all the twists(: My favourite scene would be the floating lights Rapunzel was dying to see. They were really gorgeous and for some reason, made my tears well up while I was watching it. I would definitely catch this again if there's a chance to (probably download-able from my iPod app^^).

Went to this chinese restaurant in Bugis for dinner after starving for a few hours. Food there was great and it was fun loading all the ingredients into the huge bowl of soup!:D

Although it's not officially the end yet, I am actually experiencing what it is like after all the interminable studying. It's been great, the rest, but I definitely need to find things to do besides watching drama after drama and slacking at home. It's far getting too bored snugging on the couch! Got myself out today for charms shopping and I emptied my wallet of all the cash to bring back loads of jewelry components. Now I'm broke, I need to get my engine started to earn some profit. I'm having lots of ideas for both the clay and the metal jewelry but motivation is what I really need to start the ball rolling.

Oh well, two more days to the end. I just need to perservere and continue reading and doing MCQs. Hmm, for now, I'm craving for some chocolate brownies! The fudgey ones would be good!:D

I have this sudden urge to blog after hearing stories about people's friends.

Friends.
They are the people who stand by your side when you encounter troubles. They are the ones who constantly encourage you in times of uncertainty. They share your darkest, most concealed secrets and are never too embarrassed to complain to you about anything that happened in their lives. (But of course, there are the minority who don't and instead, bring you down in every opportunity they seek.) We as social creatures, essentially, need friends. Even though sometimes you may inevitably desire alone-time (like me), there is still this crave for people whom you can express yourself freely to.

Honestly speaking, I don't have many friends (close friends of course) because I believe it's not about the numbers. It's about having quality friends, meaning to say, friends who are genuine. Personally, I don't get why people want to lie to their friends, compare qualities they have and even make someone who stick to him/her so often feel inferior in the course of his/her actions. Aren't friends supposed to back each other up in tough times and share the fruits of labour together? The world is a web entangled with menace. It's so scary that you don't even know if the person whom you treat so well actually reciprocates. On a lighter note, I'm happy that I have close friends that are true to me, and of course, a soulmate whom I can reveal my inner thoughts to and I believe everyone has at least that one person(:

Anw, just as the title suggests, every friend that steps into your life enables you to go through a unique, one-of-a-kind experience so treasure and make the best out of it!(: And as a last note, be true to your friends and you'll be rewarded in itself.

This brings back memories of the wonderful night I had during Mid-Autumn Festival Celebrations at Nanhua a few years back...♥ The wall-climbing, lightsticks bracelets and watching the celebrations from the fifth level... I so miss all those...(: I will always remember them dearie♥

Finally, my polka dot toga romper after a long search thanks to last minute shopping at a flea market. My favourite buy has definitely got to be the mustard-brown leather belt with a perky tassle! Though it's costly for a belt, I couldn't resist the temptation to get it:D Happy loads! Town again for dinner and yeap, Ice Rockz cause Mummy wanted to try the Nasi Lemak burger. An ingenious and creative idea of having Chicken Rice Rice Burger and Nasi Lemak Rice Burger!:D They're really awesome and it's only $5 for a set of burger plus milk tea!

This feels so great(: It's gonna be a short but sweet liberation. Haven't felt so free for ages!(: I NEED TO GO SHOPPING AND ENJOY MYSELF WHILE I CAN!:DDDD toodles!

Happy Birthday Singapore!

It's been long since I really sat down to watch a complete NDP programme, come to think of it. National Day is a day for celebration, but I'm right at home mugging my head off. Bother. Anw, I kinda miss being Sec 2 when we were participating in all the training sessions for NDP 2006, and of course, I miss NDP 2006 itself. Here's the best NDP performance ever, to all the Nanhuarians.

Retail Therapy for a girl deprived of shopping.

NDC today was a waste of time. It seems to me that it is a standard procedure because it totally lacked originality. The performances, they're like much the same as what happened last year and there's almost no room to contemplate the programme for the past years. Moreover, making us seated in the parade square didn't really help much cause we ended up having breakfast in the canteen. Still, bravo to those who performed. I think you all were really courageous.

Today, I finally let all my worries down just to go out shopping with my mum. A fruitful trip cause I managed to get myself two blouses, a crochet vest, ringsssssss and a pair of school shoes♥♥♥ Happy much!(: Mummy got what she wanted too (thank goodness), else she would be complaining of not getting anything while she paid for all my expenses. All those shopping got me a pair of sore feet and a wave of shoulder aches but they're all worth it. I can't imagine another four months or so without retail therapy like this. Hmm, I had the Big 'O' Cheesecake and Hot Chocolate Milk Elephanccino at NYDC@Bugis after that:D They're really awesome stuff, great for tea breaks!(:

By the way, I ate Udders gourmet ice-cream for the second time a few days ago. Liquor-flavoured ice-cream makes me feel like I'm falling in love! The sweet numbing sensation when the ice-cream melts into your mouth coupled with the bittersweet liquor taste is ♥! Cheers to Udders, I'll support you more often after A's(:

Trapped, locked in.

I can't believe it.

The school actually locked us in to force each and every one to stay back for the Sports Meet. It's like serving a jail term, that feeling. The feeling of being trapped, and cooped up - I hate it, and it makes me nauseous, literally. It's really pathetic that they had to resort to stationing security guards at every single gate just to block off the exit of students. I mean, what's the point when students will try to think of ways to leave the school? What's the point of making us participate when we had no one to cheer for? And by stopping us from leaving, our time's wasted rotting in school. We could've actually gone home to do productive studying for a Bio test that's coming up tmr. Fury was the word man! The anger that's contained inside all of us, I think it can be used to burn a forest!

Anw, on a lighter note, today was rather fun with the rest of the class that came to school. We learnt about funny things teachers do and most importantly, planned our escape routes! We even had a circle of discussion in the middle of nowhere in the canteen, thinking of impossible ways to leave the school compound!:D It was really hilarious! I didn't know that my class could be so united when it comes to matters like this! So anw, after three failed attempts on getting out of the damn place, we waited in the canteen, and someone came up with a brilliant idea: Calling parents to fetch us out.

YES, the few of us managed to ring up our dads and mums. Hmm, and the seven of us (who were the last to leave in our class) sat on the curb in the school carpark, waiting for our rescue car. It was damn scary and worrying because of all the monsters that'll appear and throw us back into the canteen! Haha, we were that desperate and determined to get out of hell that we were even prepared to do CWO in case anything happens! Anw, so our rescuer came and within an hour, the whole class was gone:D You can imagine how relieved and happy we all were!

I can't find anymore words that can express how good this movie is. It captivates you, brings you into the reality of fantasies and sets you thinking. Two and a half hours of excitement and thrill are certainly worth the ticket price!(: I haven't watched such a great movie with an extraordinary plot like that for a pretty long time and I must say this is more than just awesome. I like how the people are able to put themselves to dream into the different levels and how it keeps giving the audience little surprises here and there. && I think the architecture the girl built in her dream, it's wonderful!(:

I think my family loves Kuishinbo. It's the third time I've been there and I'm always never disappointed because I get to eat different kinds of seafood plus side dishes. Though it's really pricey, the food's pretty awesome and I love their special dishes giveaway periods!(: It's pretty funny to see people dashing for good food!

Hmm anw, this weekend was awesome cause of the stayover and unexpected shopping. Stayover was simply love! How often do you get to spend quality time just chatting for long hours with your beloved?(: I totally enjoyed and cherished the little time we had♥ And yes, dad spent over two hundred buying a pair of heels each for me and my sister, a bag for sis and an adidas gym shorts for bro just today! Happy muchhhh:D Oh, and my crochet tunic's gonna arrive by next week and I'll have another piece added to my "clothes-not-yet-worn" corner in my wardrobe.

It's not just sand.

(This is what I call a Sand Castle.)

Have you ever wondered, how do these sand castles come about? I've always looked up to the artists that created all these fantastic sculptures. I was watching this programme on Singapore's one and only sand sculptor who gave up studying to self-learn sand sculpting. He not only picked up this skill all by himself, he even dedicated his life to it. It's really incredible to see the way he builds the sand to a certain height, and starts shoving the excess off all the way to the bottom, forming a beautiful sculpture. I never knew sand sculpting could be a job and I think it's rather cool and admirable, though the income is pretty much unstable. And, what's even more praiseworthy about sand sculpting, is the artists' determination to complete their sculptures even when the wind and rain knock them down.

Alone? Not really.

I love taking public transports alone most of the time. I love it because I get a world of my own, drowned in my own music. It's pretty interesting to look at people coming in and out of the trains and buses, noticing what they wear and how they're feeling. Surprisingly, it's kinda hard to see people who dress well during weekdays in Singapore, which is rather disappointing. Nevertheless, I get to observe people's emotions and the good and ugly sides of commuters. Seeing people giving up seats for the needy makes me happy. Lively kids make me feel the same way too. I love smiling at adorable little children because most of the time, they will reciprocate that smile, and it really helps in lifting my spirits(:

Likewise, shopping alone for things I adore makes me feel satisfied too. It's great because I get to spend money getting something I like without other people's comments or deterrence which will put me down into purchasing it. I especially like shopping for materials to handmake my own fashion pieces. There are like so many ideas going on in my mind every single second and I wish I could materialise every one of them. One day, I would like to wear a complete set of outfit coupled with accessories designed and made all by myself. It would be so wonderful to answer people, saying that I made my own outfit. I'm waiting, waiting for that day.

World Cup 2010 started but I dont even feel anything for it like four years ago. I still remember how I invited a bunch of good friends from Sec 2 over to my place just to watch the World Cup Finals 2006 at a crazy timing of 3am in the morning. We even had school the next day. I vividly recall that all of us who watched at my house went to school to sleep when we had the chance to, asking classmates to switch off the lights so that we could catch some sleep during short breaks(: Such fond memories...

Did some work today, at least, two subjects but I don't feel accomplished:( Sigh. Anw, watching 新警察故事 now. I think it's a really great movie, one of the best and one of my favourite films!(: I love movies starring Jackie Chan! His moves are all so real and natural, and what's even worth commending is that he doesnt really use stand-ins for his stunts! Great actor:D

Today, I finally set aside time to make a coral rose hairband for myself!(: Pretty happy with the arrangement of the components especially the Swarovski crystals on it! And yeap, I managed to explore CS4 today and came out with the Lomography effect. Oh well, but the photograph certainly don't do justice to the actual piece because the luster on the crystals can't be captured accurately.

Anw, I know I shouldn't be indulging in hand-making stuff anymore. Time seemed to pass so quickly. It's nearing the end of the second week of the vacation and I'm still heading nowhere. I should probably get working on my other assignments now.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS, i'm so going to visit you after my A's!

i love it when we did so many things in a day, yet the number of hours we spend together is not enough to satisfy us. i love it when we miss each other right after we part goodbye. this feeling, i just dont know how to explain but i really love it, every part of it(:

today, we studied, ate, shopped, caught a movie and enjoyed a half-scenery. i'm falling in love with you all over again and i mean it(:

Shrek Forever After wasnt all that fabulous but i liked it. the way the (ugly) ogres fell in love with each other again was just beautiful. haha, i'm just someone who adores love stories of any form:D

Amidst the bland comes a tinge of honey.

instead of being at home mugging my day off, busy clearing assignments, i was actually out the whole day buying materials for the handphone pouch that i will be making and whiling my time away while waiting for my sister to learn the basics of knitting. i'm down with a flu now that's causing me to be able to breathe only through my mouth which i totally dislike!): rawr, i hope it goes away as soon as it's done with attacking my immune system.

on a happier note, i'm going to watch Shrek, Forever and After tmr!(: it's been ages since i last watched a movie with my boyf and i'm so glad that i'm just going to do that in a few hours' time! i just like sitting in the comfy cushioned seat with my vision only capable of focusing at the overly huge screen even though what is delivered from the screen may not be the best. i'm probably one of the minority who likes movies adapted from novels even though critics berate them. being someone overly visual, i tend to like and feel from things that animate, rather than from something concrete, like books. though reading pages after pages of words can be quite interesting, i get bored really easily unless the plot is able to captivate me fully. contradicting as it sounds but i'm sure some people agree to my view. hmm, on the other hand, movies will always appeal to me whether or not others think it's nice. i like watching stories come live in front of me and it provokes my feelings more easily than novels do. and movies definitely make up a huge part of my life if you knew how many i've watched for the past three years;)
